Pokemon - Ash and Greninja

Inspired by Ash/Satoshi and Greninja/Gekkouga from Pokemon. While Ash isn't my favorite character (as you probably figured out, my fave is Alain/Alan), I was really impressed by his positive attitude, compassion, determination, and how well he bonded and fought with Greninja. If I remember correctly, Ash cried the first time he lost a league, and now he's able to accept his losses gracefully and learn from them. It's refreshing to see a protagonist whom I can relate to and want to learn from .

Presentation-wise, I was debating between a bright purple background and one of my standard plain backgrounds. The former would've allowed me to capture the labradorite flash, at the cost of allowing intense shadows into the photo and obscuring one of Greninja's legs so that my fingers wouldn't need to be in the photo. I went for the regular background plus some editing, because the cons of the former option outweighed the advantages.
