Description

This piece is done in an older style and uses materials that I no longer plan to keep in stock. Please confirm the price with me before commissioning.

My friend wanted a blue pendant, so I delivered.

If you take a closer look at the piece, you may understand the meaning behind the title and my implementation blue heart bullet

Here's the piece in my hand:

Hi there again! Saw this piece in ProjectComment but unfortunately my work schedule didn't allow me to comment on it while still there, so I'm just gonna make a more light and personal comment instead. :)

I don't have much to critique in this piece to be quite honest. You're not trying to visually represent anything here, unlike the other pieces that I've critiqued. The piece stands on it's own, it's beautiful for it's simplicity and coherence. I see that there are a significant number of individual pieces that you had to join around the pear, which surely wasn't easy. I've made a swarovski bead band for a cabochon before and it is tricky to try and get a grip on the necessary length to involve the pear and keep it in place, and that was a single piece only, so I can only imagine how much ginnastica you had to do to hold all of these pieces together!!!(growing a pair of hands would come in handy sometimes! XD !!! )

I don't know if you remember but sometime ago I said I had a sodalite pear that was broken and I would like to "mend" it (hold it together) in some form, using wire. I still haven't been able to do that (don't have the kit, materials, nor experience) but this is a great source of inspiration for when I gather courage (and supplies) to do so.

The only two things I would suggest in your presentation is to show both sides of the piece in the photo and make them different. I think when you have a design around a stone, you should give the user the possibility of using in it in different ways. It would suffice for example to have that silver rose on the bottom on the other side so that your friend would have two different pieces in one. A thought for next time.  ;)
